Benefits of Attending

What do conferees gain from the Asheville Christian Writers Conference?

ACWC offers attendees the experience of a large writers conference but on a more personal and intimate level. A top-notch faculty brings not only the craft of writing to the table but also the understanding of being called by God as a writer. Our size is small, limited intentionally, to 120 total conferees and faculty, keeping the learning level  more one-on-one and intimate. For the first-time or new writer, ACWC is perfect, taking away the stress and worry of not knowing what to expect. Our faculty and staff walk with conferees hand-in-hand all the way to the door of the Cove. And for those more seasoned writers, there is training to take you to the next level and a place where you are able to refocus, and reignite your passion and work of writing. The Asheville Christian Writers Conference (formerly Writers Boot Camp) strives to welcome writers in, regardless of their ability, take hold of them, encourage and guide them in their call to write.

One-on-One Mentoring

So, you ask – “What’s different about the Asheville Christian Writers Conference?” Great question.

We offer one-on-one Mentoring with Award-winning authors. The cost of individual mentoring is $50. Conferees receive in-depth attention, critique, and 1 hour of personal attention on their current work in progress. Professionals lend a hand with direction, brainstorming, social media, web or blogs, speaking, and so much more. If you have a manuscript or are a speaker. If you have a new website or one that simply needs updates and suggestions, you’ll find the personal help you receive from the years of experience is well worth the cost.

CRITIQUES

Critiques and faculty appointments are available as well for a small fee. Critiques are a wonderful way to get a second set of eyes on your work. But that’s not all. ACWC begins 7 weeks prior to the physical date. Yes, you heard us. ACWC begins 7 weeks PRIOR to the physical arrival date with conferees receiving additional weekly assignments to help aid their on-campus learning experience to be enriched.
