INFORMATION FOR THE DEVOTION CONTEST

THE SPARROW AWARD
 
Advance His Kingdom Devotional Contest
Deadline is January 20, 2025
 
Devotions are a great way for new writers to get their first byline. Great devotions require tight writing, creativity, and powerful messages. As part of our Advance His Kingdom Contest, submit up to two devotions. A professional editor will judge your work. Writers may submit two devotions for the contest. 
 
Each devotion should be:
 
Approximately 400 words
Use Scripture to begin the devotion
Follow our Hook, Book, Look & Took format (visit ChristianDevotions.us, click WRITE FOR US, and download guidelines for ChristianDevotions.us)
Free of grammatical and spelling errors
$12.00 entry fee per devotional (Limit two (2) per conferee
Send in a Word .doc as an attachment
Submit to: [email protected], and in the subject line, list DEVO CONTEST
 
NOTE:  Submissions not meeting all guidelines will be disqualified.
CONTEST OPENS NOVEMBER 1 (You must be a registered conferee to enter this contest.)
 
DEADLINE: January 20
 
 
 
 
 
Send your devotions in separate Word docs as an attachment mailto:[email protected]. Submit your entry as a Word doc email attachment. Writers are limited to two devotions per person for this contest.
 
 
 
ONE FINAL IMPORTANT NOTE:
 
So often, I find that women will register under their husband's or family’s credit card which has the husband's name on it. That is fine. However, it makes life hard for me.
 
I will only see the name on the card. I never see numbers or addresses, only the name. Ladies, if you have registered using a card in someone's name, please contact me and let me know. I need to know WHO is registered for the conference. The Cove will take that name, and this is how your name tag and reservation are made. Security at the gate of the Cove is snug. If YOUR name is not on the list, they will not permit you onto campus until they check with me. If I don't have the right name, I have to say I don't know you. So, if ANY OF YOU, male or female, have registered using a card with someone's name other than yours, please contact me so I can make sure I have your reservation paperwork correct.  Outstanding invoices: If you have one, please take care of this quickly. We have given you until Feb. 3, but honestly, if you can take care of it sooner rather than later, it makes payment to the Cove easier.
