2018 Writers Charge
Sunday, February 18, 2018 by Cindy

Today is your day. Gird yourself with the armor given to protect you. Polish the shield of faith and remember that it will extinguish the flaming arrows the world will hurl at you.

Do not be deceived by the lies of the enemy for they will be beautiful. They will make you thirst for the desires of the world. They will tempt you until you feel as though you cannot stand. But remember, even in your deepest temptation, God has provided a way clear for you, so listen….open your eyes….discern His voice.

Do not feel as if rejection is God refusing to help you, rather consider His current no – His best YES (Priscilla Shirer), knowing that His plan for you was set into action long before you were placed in your mother’s secret place.

Choose to be patient. Choose to be upright. Make it your goal to set your feet firmly in the footprints of the One who has walked the path ahead of you. For when you walk in his footprints you will find they lead you through the valleys and into the mountains most high.

When you feel the frustration that the God who created you may have turned a deaf ear, or you feel you cannot wade the sands of the hot desert …where you see the oasis ahead, yet you feel as though one foot is nailed deep into the sand and all you can do is walk in circles…remember He is present and He may be only waiting for your surrender.

You are gifted. You are talented. You were assigned these abilities early on. Seek after the words He longs for you share. Keep an open mind and set pride on its way. Be humble, be kind. Do not relish in what you think you deserve, but reach for the knowledge of what God has in store for you.

You are called. We know this to be true, for we have prayed for your presence here. In our presence we have been allowed to guide and teach you but in His presence you will find ultimate success. Your words may not be meant for a book, they may be only meant for the person next to you but that does not lessen their strength. Trust in that strength. Pray your offering of words to Him daily and He will bless you.

Remember the words of Paul:

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 NIV

Take these words, read and re-read them.  And then sweet friends, write.
